This event is unique as it is developed by African medicine manufacturers, for African medicine manufacturers to build capacity and accelerate growth across the industry.
AMMTEC 2024 will allow medicine manufacturers, their suppliers and in-market partners to showcase successes, learn from each other, and meet vendors and representatives of other players.
This year’s theme focuses on “Shaping the Market: Moving from intent to demand for African manufactured medicines”. One of the biggest challenges facing African manufacturers is access to markets and the ability to trade. This year’s conference will focus on building a strong ecosystem of trade and industry partners, suppliers and service providers to accelerate a vibrant, resilient and globally competitive African pharmaceutical industry.
AMMTEC 2024 offers structured networking time to meaningfully connect with financiers, technical assistance providers, suppliers, regulators, vendors, funders and other industry players. Structured, invite only, roundtable meetings will be facilitated to help broker commitments to address specific barriers or opportunities.
The AMMTEC 2024 two-day event (20 – 22 November 2024) will follow on from the ARV and Malaria Pharma Summit (18 – 20 November 2024).

Agenda
The agenda has been crafted based on industry needs, with presentations and panels focussed on the topics that matter most. All of the content will seek to address the main conference theme “Shaping the Market: Moving from intent to demand for African manufactured medicines”.
Wednesday 20th November: Cocktail reception opening at 17h00.
Thursday 21st November: Full day of conference sessions.
Friday 22nd November: Closing at 13h30.
Post-Conference: A roundtable event and additional structured networking sessions will continue for delegates until 17h00 on the Friday.
